About This Blog

CLIPPERS is a recently characterised inflammatory brain disorder with a characteristic pattern of spots (lesions) on the brain and common symptoms such as diplopia (double vision) and ataxia (clumsiness, malcoordination, balance problems). It generally responds to steroid treatment. There are very few studies of CLIPPERS and little information available on the web. I was diagnosed with "presumptive CLIPPERS" (i.e. CLIPPERS until the evidence suggests otherwise) in 2011. This blog relates my on-going experience and provides information which may be useful for others in this situation. I'm also interested in seeing how many of us are out there, so if you have a CLIPPERS diagnosis take a look at the People With CLIPPERS page and consider emailing me to add your story.
